Nate Waara, DC
(contracted therapist: Boulder)
Nate is a soft tissue specialist with a history of swimming. Starting in his teens, Nate had the desire to start pushing his body further and further athletically, swimming backstroke and butterfly races. With the training came hip and shoulder pain. He enjoyed learning about the different natural healing processes of bodywork after seeking the help of different soft tissue therapists. Due to the resulting benefits, afterward, Nate was motivated to pursue multiple well-rounded degrees including Exercise Science, Doctorate of Chiropractic, CSCS, with training in manual and instrument-assisted soft tissue work, cupping, and electrostimulation.
During his time in school, Nate also performed research studying specific neurological pathways in the legs to see the effects of conservative soft tissue therapies on nerve conduction velocity, presenting his findings at a world conference in Berlin. Nate has also spent several years studying and teaching anatomy in a cadaver lab, having the opportunity to observe musculoskeletal ailments at every level.
Nate is highly knowledgeable about the diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue injuries. Often including rehabilitation techniques such as stretches and exercises in his treatment sessions.
Interests: Nate is still athletically oriented where you can usually find him weightlifting, stand-up paddleboarding, snowboarding, fishing, or enjoying a night of fun with friends.
