Matthew Rentz

Sports Massage TherapistMatthew Rentz, LMT (Contracted Therapist: Boulder)

For Matthew, bodywork is a deeply intuitive language—one he has felt naturally called to explore and refine since his youth. In 2022, he officially began his education in bodywork, first training at Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. There, he initially studied Shiatsu and continued his education with certifications in Swedish Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, and Thai Massage. Upon returning to the United States, Matthew enrolled at the Boulder Massage Therapy Institute (BMTI), where he graduated and became a licensed massage therapist in Colorado. He has since pursued advanced training in advanced myofascial release for the hands, abdominal massage, and psoas massage.

Matthew’s work is deeply influenced by his training in energy work and pain management. He integrates a variety of techniques into his sessions, including myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, abdominal and psoas massage, thai massage, shiatsu, lomi lomi, reiki, reflexology, and energy work. These approaches allow him to address a wide range of client needs, from chronic pain and stress to improved mobility and overall well-being. This diverse skillset enables Matthew to tailor each session to the individual, balancing focused therapeutic work with intuitive touch, to create lasting results.

Matthew is passionate about helping clients from all walks of life, including athletes, movement practitioners, and those recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions. He works to help his clients feel more at ease in their bodies and become more efficient. He is dedicated to creating a safe, grounded space where clients can relax deeply, allowing their nervous systems to downregulate and their bodies to heal.

By blending intuitive listening with a personalized approach, Matthew tailors each session to address the client’s unique needs and goals. He views bodywork as a partnership, empowering clients to reconnect with their bodies, enhance awareness, and move toward greater physical and emotional well-being.
