Looking for Strain-Counterstrain Therapy?
This active stretching & manipulation technique works to rebalance the nervous system with the structure of the musculoskeletal system (skeleton and muscles of the body). Strain Counterstrain works to inhibit hyperactivity of the spasm reflex, allowing the muscle to relax by improving oxygenation and eliminating pain. This therapy is also known as positional release. It is a gentle, manual medicine technique that places the client’s body in a comfortable position for approximately 90 seconds; this allows client’s body to reset its muscles to normal, hence setting stage for muscles to heal.
We Can Help You!
At Boulder Therapeutics, we are trained in Strain-Counterstrain Massage techniques and how to apply them to your particular pain pattern or restriction. We often blend this technique with many others to provide a customized therapeutic treatment which achieves the best possible result.
